The season’s first major is upon us — nearly four months after the true major season opener (The Masters) was scheduled to be played.
It’s PGA Championship week at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco. While everyone is very excited to see how things will play out, one thing is certain: this will be unlike any major we’ve seen before. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no fans.
With that in mind, our caddies are working hard behind the scenes to give you an inside look at what it’s like. Throughout the week, we’ll be aggregating social media posts here to keep you up to speed on what’s going on at Harding Park with musings from our own caddie correspondent for the week, Zach Guthrie (on the bag for Tyler Duncan), as well as several more of our favorite loopers.

Really nice being out with @AaronFlener today. He’s incredible at raking bunkers. And he’s really funny. Follow him if you don’t. He and @JT_ThePostman are nice people.

Unfortunately, our caddie correspondent @ZachCGuthrie had to head home early after a missed cut, but sometimes that’s part of the gig. As he explained, there’s a new chance next week. #PGAChamp pic.twitter.com/DxGkAyO9LS

Jinxed myself, you guys. While I DID NOT hit a pedestrian or a cyclist, I did lose a battle with a yellow concrete pole in the parking garage of my hotel. If anyone would like to drive me around for the remainder of the week I’d appreciate it. https://t.co/pfl4dTOzTB pic.twitter.com/lDruSCa13I

No matter how the golf turns out, if I can get out of San Francisco without hitting a pedestrian or cyclist with my car it’s a win.

Longer hitting “ball strikers” will play well at @PGAChampionship @TPCHardingPark this week imo. Also, morning wave gets a head start on Thursday according to forecast. Finally, Tiger swinging beautifully on the range yesterday. Fun week ahead w BW playing well. #LetsGo pic.twitter.com/1HDtY5RZLb
