What caddies are saying about Tiger Woods winning his fifth Masters
Masters Sunday is always special, but this one was an all-timer.
Eleven years removed from his last major championship victory at the 2008 U.S. Open — and with scandals and career-threatening injuries sprinkled in between — a 43-year-old Tiger Woods became the second-oldest Masters champion in history with a one-stroke victory of three of the game’s best current players, Brooks Koepka, Dustin Johnson and Xander Schauffele.
And just like that, with major championship win No. 15 and a fifth green jacket to add to his wardrobe, Tiger’s push to catch Jack Nicklaus’s record 18 majors is back on and suddenly doesn’t seem like such a pipe dream.
Naturally, people had plenty to say about arguably the most important victory in the sport since Woods blitzed the field in the 1997 Masters. Here’s a collection of what caddies were saying on their respective social media accounts…
Wanted my boss to get that green jacket and it got interesting for a while but what a cool day for golf. Great to see Tiger and Joey get it done. Watch out…18 is in play again.

@TigerWoods that was a special day as I said in my last tweet but now we are eating dinner and trying to get the NHL OR NBA playoffs on and these guys still want to watch replays of you walking around in your Green Jacket. Can you tell them it’s ok to change the channel?!

I wonder if it was the right decision for Joe LaCava to stick by Tiger? I guess time will tell …

That was a great come back, but not as great as Hogan’s come back from the wreck.
